This funding opportunity supports interdisciplinary research on population approaches to reduce alcohol-related cancer risk. It includes projects that increase awareness of alcohol's link to cancer, change social norms around drinking, develop and evaluate alcohol policies, and implement population-level interventions. Applications addressing moderate and heavy drinking and alcohol use disorder from a cancer prevention perspective are especially encouraged. Clinical trials are optional.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, tribal organizations, small businesses, and others including faith-based and community-based organizations, and foreign entities.
