This award provides support and protected time for an intensive, supervised career development experience in biomedical, behavioral, or clinical sciences. It supports research independence over three to five years and is suitable for those training in new fields or recovering from career interruptions. An independent clinical trial is required.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as state governments, higher education institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal governments, and others. Foreign organizations are generally not eligible except for foreign components of U.S. organizations.
