The Mentored Research Scientist Development Award (K01) provides support and protected time for an intensive, supervised career development experience in biomedical, behavioral, or clinical sciences. It funds three to five years of mentored research leading to independence, including for those training in new fields or returning after career breaks due to illness or family circumstances.
