This funding opportunity supports faculty research at predominantly undergraduate institutions (PUIs) in NSF-supported fields. It includes support for individual and collaborative projects, shared instrumentation, and Research Opportunity Awards allowing faculty to work as visiting scientists at research-intensive organizations. Eligible institutions award Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degrees and have limited Ph.D./D.Sci. degree production. Proposals are evaluated within disciplinary NSF programs.
Eligible applicants are faculty at accredited predominantly undergraduate institutions awarding Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degrees in NSF-supported fields, with 20 or fewer Ph.D./D.Sci. degrees awarded in the past two academic years. Proposals must be submitted by these institutions.
