Supports small-scale basic and clinical research projects at eligible domestic health professional and graduate schools that have received limited NIH funding. The program aims to expose undergraduate and graduate students to meritorious research and strengthen institutional research environments. Clinical trials are not allowed under this award.
Eligible applicants include domestic public, state-controlled, and private institutions awarding NIH-relevant degrees in health professions with limited prior NIH funding. Foreign organizations and non-domestic components are not eligible.
