This R01 opportunity funds research projects that develop and test interventions to overcome barriers to cancer screening and preventive services in populations experiencing health disparities. Funded projects should address factors at multiple levels including patient, clinician, healthcare setting, and community, and promote collaborations with community partners. Clinical trials are required to evaluate intervention effectiveness, including follow-up of abnormal findings and referral to care.
