This funding opportunity supports investigator-initiated, multisite clinical trials and observational studies using NICHD clinical research Network infrastructure. It employs a bi-phasic UG3/UH3 milestone-driven mechanism, starting with a start-up phase and progressing to full enrollment and trial implementation. Applications must address specific aims for both phases and collaborate with NICHD-supported Data Coordinating Centers. The focus is on research involving infants, children, women, pregnant and lactating women, and persons with disabilities.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as governments, educational institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal organizations, and federal agencies. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities are not eligible to apply.
