Supports Research Project (R01) applications investigating ethical, legal, and social implications of human genetics and genomics. Studies may use empirical qualitative, quantitative, conceptual, legal, and normative methods. Direct stakeholder involvement is encouraged. Applications must include a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP) to be reviewed. Clinical trials are optional.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal organizations, county and city governments, nonprofits, public and private institutions of higher education, state governments, small businesses, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses. See official guidelines for full details.
