This funding opportunity supports research to elucidate mechanisms of early immune development in utero, early post-natal period, and childhood. It focuses on immune cell roles at the maternal-fetal interface, T and B cell maturation, and local and systemic immune responses in neonates, infants, and children with or without in-utero HIV or ART exposure.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as county and state governments, small businesses, tribal governments and organizations, nonprofits, public housing authorities, school districts, and institutions of higher education, both public and private.
