This funding opportunity supports research to elucidate mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. It funds studies investigating biobehavioral and neurobiological pathways and aims to identify novel therapeutic targets for interventions to treat and prevent these symptoms. Clinical trials are optional but may be included.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as government entities, institutions of higher education, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, tribal governments, and various minority-serving institutions. Both domestic and certain non-domestic entities may apply.
