This opportunity funds research proposing secondary analysis and integration of existing datasets to elucidate cancer risk and related outcomes such as risk prediction, survival, and treatment response. It supports innovative analyses using clinical, environmental, genomic, and molecular data to address key cancer research questions. Clinical trials are not allowed under this R21 mechanism.
Eligible applicants include public housing authorities, small businesses, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, tribal organizations, for-profit organizations, and various government entities. Eligibility is broad and includes multiple organization types.
