Supports transdisciplinary research addressing ethical, legal, and social implications of advances in human genetics and genomics. Funds projects that include affected communities, build research capacity, and develop workforce opportunities for early career scholars and staff. Requires strategic management, evaluation, and sustainability plans to ensure program success.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S.-based organizations such as nonprofits, for-profits, tribal governments, educational institutions, and government entities with less than $30 million NIH funding annually. Applicants must be domestic and located in the U.S. or its territories.
