This award funds federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes, Tribal colleges, health programs, or organizations to establish new Institutional Review Boards or enhance existing ones. It supports capacity building for Tribal IRBs to oversee research ethically, excluding clinical trials.
Eligible applicants include federally recognized Native American tribal governments, Tribal colleges and universities, Tribal health programs, and Tribal organizations. Non-federally recognized tribal governments and foreign organizations are not eligible to apply.
