This funding opportunity supports investigator-initiated early phase clinical trials of natural products such as botanicals, dietary supplements, and probiotics. It provides up to 3 years of support for studies designed to replicate and optimize the impact of these products on target engagement and clinical outcomes. Trials must be hypothesis-driven, milestone-based, and exclude efficacy or effectiveness testing, accelerating translation of basic science findings into clinical research.
