This funding opportunity supports the development and validation of animal models and human/animal tissue ex vivo systems that replicate neurological or neuromuscular disorders. The goal is to enhance translational relevance to facilitate neurotherapeutic discovery, enabling assessments of therapeutic efficacy applicable in both preclinical and clinical contexts. Clinical trials are not allowed under this grant.
Eligible applicants include state and local governments, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, small businesses, tribal governments and organizations, and various other public and private entities including foreign organizations and federally recognized tribes.
