This funding opportunity supports the development and translation of innovative recording and modulation technologies targeting the human central nervous system. Projects should advance technologies from proof of concept through to readiness for first in human studies, utilizing any combination of electrical, optical, magnetic, or acoustic signal modalities. Diverse, multidisciplinary teams are encouraged to apply to accelerate understanding and treatment of CNS diseases and disorders.
Eligible applicants include small businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, tribal organizations, and other specified groups. Foreign organizations are not eligible, but foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
