This grant supports planning and local technical assistance investments to foster economic development, job creation, and private investment in economically distressed U.S. regions. Funded activities include developing Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies, conducting feasibility studies, impact analyses, disaster resiliency plans, and project planning. Eligible recipients include designated planning organizations, Indian Tribes, state and local governments, nonprofits, and institutions of higher education.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits (both 501(c)(3) and non-501(c)(3)), state and local governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, institutions of higher education, and public or private nonprofit organizations cooperating with political subdivisions.
