This program supports ARO scientific staff conducting hands-on basic research collaboratively with external institutions in engineering, physical, life, and information sciences. Research aims to advance scientific understanding and state-of-the-art technologies. ARO staff manage and conduct research but do not serve as PIs. Outcomes may include publications, presentations, and student training, all while maintaining mission integrity and impartiality.
Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education with recognized research capabilities in mechanical, mathematical, electronic, computing, physical, chemical, life, materials, network, and environmental sciences. ARO scientific staff collaborate but do not serve as PIs.
