This funding opportunity supports investigator-initiated Program Project (P01) applications that address key scientific areas including infectious microbe biology, host-microbe interactions, immune system regulation, immune dysfunction, and translational research for vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics. Applications must include at least two synergistic research projects sharing a central theme and an Administrative Core, with optional Scientific Cores as needed. Clinical trials are not allowed under this NOFO.
Eligible applicants include public and private institutions of higher education, small businesses, nonprofits, government entities at various levels, tribal governments and organizations, and for-profit organizations other than small businesses.
