This opportunity funds the development and modernization of shared-use research facilities that support collaborative biomedical and HIV/AIDS research. Funded activities include construction of shared research spaces, core facilities, biorepositories, and other resources that serve broad scientific communities. HIV/AIDS projects must align with NIH Office of AIDS Research priorities, focusing on long-term health consequences of HIV infection. Applications from diverse U.S. institutions are encouraged to strengthen national research capacity.
