Supports acquisition or development of multi-user scientific and engineering instruments at U.S. institutions and not-for-profit research organizations. Proposals may request up to $4 million for instruments that are costly or unsuitable for other programs. Encourages broad participation including early-career PIs and underrepresented groups. Submission limits apply by funding track, and cost sharing is waived through FY 2027.
