This award funds institutional programs to recruit, train, and retain researchers focused on non-malignant kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases. It encourages unified applications across departments and institutions to foster a connected trainee community. Awardees participate in a nationwide research-training network to enhance workforce sustainability and integration across these disciplines.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S.-based organizations such as public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits, tribal governments, small businesses, and various government entities. Foreign organizations and foreign subawards/subcontracts are not eligible.
