This fellowship enables promising predoctoral students to receive individualized, mentored research training from outstanding faculty sponsors while conducting dissertation research in scientific health-related fields. Candidates may not lead independent clinical trials but can gain experience in trials led by sponsors or co-sponsors. The training aims to develop candidates into productive, independent research scientists.
Eligible applicants include public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with and without 501(c)(3) status, for-profit organizations excluding small businesses, and small businesses. Additional eligibility details are provided in the full announcement.
