Funding supports Mathematical Sciences Research Institutes that advance discovery and dissemination in mathematics and statistics, enhance interdisciplinary connections, and expand the U.S. talent base. Institutes focus top researchers on timely problems and serve as community resources engaging broad segments of U.S. mathematical sciences researchers.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based non-profit, non-academic organizations associated with education or research, and accredited U.S. institutions of higher education acting on behalf of faculty. Multi-institutional consortia are allowed with a single managing entity.
