The Commercialization Readiness Pilot program supports small businesses in moving NIH-funded SBIR or STTR projects from late-stage development to commercialization. Funded activities include independent replication of studies, IND/IDE-enabling studies, clinical trials, manufacturing scale-up, and regulatory support. The program allows subcontracting to meet project goals and focuses on research and development activities not typically supported by Phase II and Phase IIB awards.
Eligible applicants include small businesses, for-profit organizations, nonprofits, institutions of higher education, various government entities, and Native American tribal organizations. Specific eligibility details are provided in the full announcement.
