This limited competition offers R03 small grants to current or recently completed NHLBI K01, K08, K23, and K25 awardees. The grants support projects completable within two years that expand or branch out from K award research. Funded activities include pilot studies, proof of concept, secondary data analysis, and development of new methodologies. Applicants must maintain at least 40% protected research effort during the award period. Foreign organizations are not eligible.
Eligible applicants include current or recently completed NHLBI K01, K08, K23, and K25 awardees from a wide range of U.S. organizations including academic institutions, nonprofits, government entities, and small businesses. Foreign organizations and components are not eligible.
