This initiative funds secondary analyses using archived HIV/AIDS data and specimen collections to address key questions about epidemiology, pathogenesis, treatment, clinical manifestations, and HIV-associated co-infections in maternal, pediatric, and adolescent populations. It encourages data translation and sharing to advance scientific understanding in these areas.
Eligible applicants include public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits, tribal governments, various government entities, small businesses, and for-profit organizations. Foreign organizations and international collaborations are allowed with restrictions on foreign components.
