This funding supports communities affected by hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, floods, and other natural disasters in 2023 and 2024. It provides investments through three pathways: readiness projects to prepare for recovery funding, implementation projects addressing economic challenges with construction or non-construction activities, and industry transformation projects led by regional coalitions to fundamentally change economic trajectories. Projects must engage community and private industry partners to exceed pre-disaster economic baselines.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, tribal governments, nonprofit organizations, economic development districts, institutions of higher education, and public-private partnerships. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible.
