This award enables established investigators to augment or redirect their research programs by acquiring new skills to address questions in hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language sciences. Clinical trials are not permitted. Eligible applicants include a broad range of institutions and organizations, with foreign components allowed but foreign organizations excluded.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of institutions such as private and public higher education institutions, nonprofits, tribal organizations, government entities, and small businesses. Foreign organizations are generally ineligible, but foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
