This award supports qualified clinical scientists with doctoral degrees to engage in mentored, intensive research career development in biomedical, behavioral, and translational research. It provides protected time and supervision to prepare individuals for impactful health-related research careers. The program requires an independent clinical trial component.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, for-profits, small businesses, tribal organizations, government entities, and institutions of higher education. Foreign organizations are generally not eligible except for foreign components of U.S. organizations.
