This award supports clinical scientists with doctoral degrees to engage in mentored, supervised research career development in biomedical and behavioral sciences, including translational research. It provides protected time to prepare individuals for impactful health-related research careers. Independent clinical trials are not allowed under this award.
Eligible applicants include individuals affiliated with a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, academic institutions, tribal governments, state and local governments, small businesses, and others. Foreign organizations are generally not eligible except for foreign components of U.S. organ
