Provides support to mid-career health-professional doctorates for protected time to conduct patient-oriented research and mentor clinical residents, fellows, and junior clinical faculty. Encourages research mentorship alongside active clinical research engagement.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as nonprofits, institutions of higher education, government entities, small businesses, and tribal organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply, but foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
