This program supports engineering research projects that develop new fundamental knowledge or innovative applications in thermal transport phenomena. It encourages transformative studies combining analytical, experimental, and numerical methods across topics such as convection, thermodynamics, biological heat transport, nanothermics, climate change solutions, quantum technology, and AI-driven thermal science. Collaborative and interdisciplinary proposals focusing on fundamental thermal transport are welcomed. Proposals must demonstrate novelty and societal or industrial impact.
Open to any type of entity without restrictions. Contact the program director for clarifications or specific eligibility questions.
