This program supports fundamental research on physico-chemical phenomena governing particulate and multiphase systems such as suspensions, granular flows, active fluids, and self-assembly. It encourages transformative, interdisciplinary proposals combining experiment, theory, and modeling. Research should demonstrate how particle-scale phenomena influence larger-scale system dynamics and anticipate applications in advanced manufacturing, energy harvesting, biological transport, biotechnology, or environmental sustainability.
Open to all types of entities without restrictions. Eligibility is broad and includes academic, nonprofit, government, and industry applicants.
