This funding opportunity supports program project grants comprising a minimum of three interrelated research projects focused on fundamental processes and diseases of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and blood. Projects may include core units and should address a complex biomedical theme aligned with NHLBI's mission. The program encourages new scientific directions and inclusion of Early Stage Investigators to foster emerging leaders in the field.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as small businesses, government entities, higher education institutions, nonprofits, and tribal organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible, but foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
