This funding supports Program Project Grants (P01) that enable collaborative research on fundamental processes and diseases of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and blood, including transfusion medicine and sleep disorders. Applicants must propose a minimum of three interrelated projects unified by a central scientific theme. The program encourages new scientific directions and includes opportunities for Early Stage Investigators to lead projects within the program.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, private and public institutions of higher education, tribal governments, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and various government entities within the United States.
