The Mentored Quantitative Research Career Development Award (K25) provides support and protected time for professionals with quantitative science and engineering backgrounds to engage in NIH-relevant research. It funds supervised study and research but excludes leading independent clinical trials. Applicants may participate in clinical trials led by mentors. This award fosters integration of quantitative expertise into health and disease research.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of government entities, educational institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, and tribal organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply, though foreign components of U.S. organizations are allowed.
