The Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network for Biologics funds biologic-based therapeutic discovery and development targeting nervous system disorders. Supported activities include lead optimization, preclinical development, and phase I clinical testing of biologics such as proteins, antibodies, peptides, gene-based and cell therapies. Awardees collaborate with NIH consultants and contract research organizations specializing in manufacturing, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and clinical testing. Intellectual property rights remain with awardees.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. government entities, educational institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and Native American tribal organizations. Eligibility is limited to U.S.-based entities as inferred from the federal nature of the opportunity.
