This opportunity funds R21 applications aimed at creating novel theoretical frameworks and methods to elucidate how genetic and non-genetic factors contribute to complex trait variation. Research should be interdisciplinary, spanning natural and social sciences, and incorporate theory, simulations, and validation using large-scale datasets across biological, social, and ecological levels.
