This funding opportunity supports innovative projects to develop, improve, characterize, and preserve animal models and related biological materials, technologies, and new approach methodologies for biomedical research relevant to human health. Projects must address multiple body systems or disease categories and have broad applicability across multiple NIH Institutes or Centers. Clinical trials are not allowed. The goal is to enhance research infrastructure by providing versatile animal models and materials.
Eligible applicants include public housing authorities, tribal governments, city/township governments, private and public higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and various government entities within the United States.
