This program supports educational activities that enhance training for clinicians, clinical researchers, and health service providers in substance use and substance use disorder research. It funds research education activities that complement workforce development in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research related to substance use. Non-research clinical training is excluded. Eligible applicants include a broad range of organizations including higher education institutions, tribal governments, nonprofits, and government entities.
