Supports NIH-supported investigator groups to acquire or upgrade a single high-end, specialized, commercially available instrument or integrated system. Eligible instruments include nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, mass spectrometers, microscopes, sequencers, and other advanced biomedical research tools. Awards range from $750,001 to $2,000,000 to enhance research capabilities.
Eligible applicants include private and public institutions of higher education, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status, and other specified organizations. Applicants must be groups of NIH-supported investigators.
