The NCI Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) supports talented postdoctoral researchers with research or clinical doctorates in transitioning from mentored positions to independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty roles. It provides independent research funding to help awardees establish competitive, independent research careers. Clinical trials are not allowed under this award. Eligible applicants must be affiliated with U.S. institutions; foreign organizations are not eligible to apply.
