This funding opportunity advances innovative translational research to understand the neurobiological and behavioral mechanisms underlying mood and psychosis disorders during the menopause transition. It encourages interdisciplinary collaboration to study symptoms such as perimenopausal depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, focusing on reproductive steroid roles, diagnosis, co-occurring symptoms, and psychosocial factors in midlife.
