This funding opportunity supports the clinical validation of established molecular, cellular, and imaging assays for cancer biomarkers, including detection, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response. It enables validation using specimens from retrospective or prospective clinical trials or studies and promotes assay harmonization across laboratories. Early-stage assay development and clinical trials are excluded. Multidisciplinary collaboration is required for up to 3 years of support.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. organizations such as city, county, and state governments, federally recognized and other Native American tribal entities, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and institutions of higher education.
