This opportunity funds the development and validation of novel tools to facilitate detailed analysis of complex brain circuits and cellular interactions. Projects should focus on cell-type and circuit-level specificity, including genetic and non-genetic tools for targeted delivery in the nervous system. Tools usable across multiple species and those that substantially improve current capabilities are highly encouraged.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as public housing authorities, tribal governments, small businesses, various educational institutions, nonprofits, and federal agencies, including non-U.S. entities and regional organizations.
