This award supports highly qualified postdoctoral fellows and doctoral-level researchers in NHLBI Intramural Research to transition their research programs to extramural institutions as junior investigators. It funds career development activities but does not allow independent clinical trials. Eligible applicants include a broad range of U.S. organizations and institutions.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. organizations such as for-profit (excluding small businesses), nonprofits, tribal organizations, government entities, and institutions of higher education. Applicants must be current NHLBI Intramural postdoctoral fellows or research trainees.
