This grant supports early-stage investigators conducting basic and clinical research in oral, dental, and craniofacial sciences. It funds pilot or feasibility studies and developmental projects aimed at generating preliminary data to support future larger research grant applications. Clinical trials are not allowed under this program.
Open to early-stage investigators affiliated with a wide range of U.S. institutions including tribal organizations, public and private higher education, nonprofits, small businesses, and government entities. Foreign organizations and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
