This funding supports R01 clinical trial research focused on alcohol use disorder treatment and recovery. Research topics include medications development, precision medicine, behavioral therapies, mechanisms of behavioral change, recovery, translational research, and innovative technologies. Applicants must conduct clinical trials and address innovative approaches to improve AUD treatment outcomes.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. government entities, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations excluding small businesses, small businesses, and institutions of higher education. Specific tribal organizations and public housing authorities are also eligible.
