This opportunity funds research to evaluate and optimize family navigation emergency department diversion models targeting non-urgent mental health issues. Funded projects should develop and test triage tools, enhance engagement with mental health services, and provide support to families to overcome barriers to care. A clinical trial is required to assess effectiveness and implementation strategies.
Eligible applicants include county, city, state, and tribal governments, public and private higher education institutions, for-profit and small businesses, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status, public housing authorities, and school districts. Additional eligibility details may apply.
