The TURTLE program supports federally recognized AI/AN tribes, tribal colleges, and organizations to develop and implement effective training and mentoring for undergraduates pursuing biomedical degrees. The program aims to build a skilled workforce to conduct culturally appropriate and rigorous research on AI/AN health and disparities, facilitating transition into biomedical research careers.
Eligible applicants include federally recognized AI/AN tribal governments, tribal colleges or universities, tribal health programs, tribal organizations, and public or private institutions of higher education. Foreign entities and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
