This funding opportunity supports planning grant applications focused on prevention and intervention approaches for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Research should advance strategies to reduce prenatal alcohol exposure and develop interventions for FASD. Studies funded are intended to prepare for larger scale FASD research projects. Clinical trials are optional under this mechanism.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of organizations such as city and county governments, tribal governments, nonprofits, small businesses, educational institutions, and federal agencies. Both domestic and certain non-domestic entities may apply.
